Kurt Peiser (Anvers 1887-Uccle 1962)
Belgian painter and engraver

Kurt Peiser studied at l’Académie d’Anvers between 1901 and 1905.
Il mainly used oil painting but practiced many different graphical technics: drawings, watercolors, litho and engraving.
He lived in Anvers from his birth until 1914 and then moved to Brussels until his death in 1962.
He exposed for the first time at la salle Forst in Anvers in 1907 and for the last time (in his living period) in 1961 at l'hôtel communal de Forest. Between these dates, he exposed every year (and often several times a year) inAnvers, Brussells and other belgian cities but also in foreign cities as Dresde, London, Kaunas, etc. As few exemples, l’ exposition internationale des Beaux-Arts de Venise in 1924, at la salle Giroux in Brussels in 1929 et at l'exposition d'Art belge of Moscow and Leningrad in 1938.
He is present, among others, in collections of le Musée de l’Ermitage, the British Museum and in the Belgian collections.
